4th of July Lawn Party!

The ad that ran in the paper when our home was for sale said "THE spot to watch 4th of July fireworks." So, we knew that we'd be in a great place to watch the Country Club's fireworks show. We decided that we'd have to have a party! We invited friends and family and grilled out. Set up a few games for the kids (and big kids) and had a great time. We loved having everyone over and getting to spend time with friends old and new. We look forward to doing it again!

Brooke and I grab a shot before the party begins. I guess Boone was less interested in us than what was going on across the street!
And, for those that know me and EBTS...had to do a LITTLE something. Y'all should be impressed that I didn't feel I went overboard. Only a few bandanas some candles and flowers from the yard (thanks to Grandmother and Aunt Kitty)!
Time to eat! Our fabulous guests each brought a side dish---we provided hamburgers, hot dogs, and bratwurst. Thanks to everyone for the great eats!
Some of the crowd enjoying dinner.
And, Brooke and his favorite mother-in-law!

looks like y'all had a great time! The tables you did were perfect for the occasion, you are definitely a girl who knows how to do a party :)

And did y'all make those cornhole ramps? James and I have been talking about making some for like 3 years now but haven't gotten around to it. It's a great game, but it's taking it's time catching on here in the South.

Thanks for posting the pics!

Will and Sandy made the cornhole ramps and we borrowed those from them. I believe Will has the "instructions" should you want to borrow to make some. They take their set to all of the UGA tailgates and it seems to be a big hit. It is a really fun game! Mom found a website that sells them for $285 and I think Will bought all of the wood for $20. Of course, Mom wants will to start mass producing to make her the big bucks!
